6. Les Miserables!
Jean Valjean, released on parole after 19 years on the chain
gang, finds that the yellow ticket-of-leave he must, by law,
display condemns him to be an outcast. Only the saintly Bishop
of Digne treats him kindly and Valjean, embittered by years
of hardship, repays him by stealing some silver. Valjean is
caught and brought back by police, and is astonished when
the Bishop lies to the police to save him, also giving him
two precious candlesticks. Valjean decides to start his life
anew. But will fate allow him to? The acclaimed, long running
musical extravaganza continues.

7. Chicago
Chicago is the story of Roxie, a chorus girl who has murdered
her lover but manages to get acquitted with the help of a
sleazy lawyer. She teams up with another murderess to form
an unusual nightclub act which they hope will keep them in
the public eye.
The musical, which won the 1998 Olivier Award for Outstanding
Musical Production, includes the songs All That Jazz, Razzle
Dazzle, Class and All I Care About.

8. Cats
Andrew Lloyd Webber's international award-winning musical
is now in its 19th year, having opened in the West End on
May 11, 1981. Based on T S Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical
Cats, it follows the exploits of a variety of feline friends
who are gathering for the Jellicle Ball. During the ball,
only one cat will be bestowed with a precious extra life,
and the tension begins to mount. The score includes Memory
and The Magical Mr Mistoffolees.

9. My Fair Lady
The story tells of Henry Higgins, an opinionated linguistics
professor and confirmed bachelor, who makes a wager with a
colleague that within six months he can transform a cockney
flower seller, Eliza Doolittle, into a lady who can take her
place in high society. He wins the bet, but doesn't bargain
for the profound effect she has on his life. The score is
brimming with great songs, including 'I Could Have Danced
All Night', 'The Rain in Spain', 'Wouldn't it be Loverly'
and 'I'm Getting Married in the Morning'. Starring Martine
McCutcheon on certain nights.

10. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Join the under-appreciated inventor Caractacus Potts, his
family and confectionary heiress Truly Scrumptious in their
adventure against the evil machinations of Baron Bomburst...
The world premier of the stage version of the classic children's
film musical, itself based upon the book by Ian Fleming, which
features all the Sherman & Sherman singalong favourites
of many a holiday season past, including 'Truly Scrumptious',
'Toot Sweets', 'Hushabye Mountain' and the Oscar-nominated
title song 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'.
